Objectives & Expected Level Of Play By Division

1st/2nd Grade Division

  • 4 ON 4
  • MAN TO MAN DEFENSE
  • 8 FOOT HOOPS 27.5 YOUTH BALL
  • COACHES OR ATHLETE REF GAMES
  • KEEP SCORE – CLEAR EACH PERIOD
  • DEFENSE PICKS UP BALL AT THE FOUL LINE EXTENDED
  • CAN DEFEND ANYWHERE BELOW THE FOUL LINE EXTENDED
  • DEFENSE MUST FALL BACK AT CHANGE OF POSSESSION
  • NO DOUBLE TEAMING OUTSIDE OF KEY
  • 8 (5 MINUTE) RUNNING TIME PERIODS

3rd/4th Grade Division

  • 5 on 5
  • MAN TO MAN DEFENSE
  • 9-10 FOOT HOOPS 28.5 BALL
  • REF GAMES (ATHLETE CAN REF W/ADULT)
  • KEEP SCORE
  • FULL COURT PRESS LAST 3 MIN OF 4TH QTR (UNLESS 15 PT GAME)
  • CANNOT STEAL THE BALL IN THE BACKCOURT-FALL BACK TO3PT ARC
  • 3 POINT SHOTS ARE ALLOWED
  • FOUL SHOTS TAKEN – All players must start on the foul line (subject to ability player will not be penalized for being over the line after shot is taken)
  • PLAYERS MUST CHECK IN AT SCORER’S TABLE
  • 15 POINT RULE (clock will stop for injuries, timeouts, and foul shots)
  • 4 (7 MINUTE) QUARTERS
  • 3 MINUTE OT WITH ONE TIMEOUT RUNNING TIME CLOCK STOPS FOR INJURIES, TIMEOUTS, AND FOUL SHOTS

5th/6th Grade B Division

  • Boys
  • 5 on 5
  • MAN TO MAN DEFENSE
  • 10 FOOT HOOPS 29.5 BALL
  • REF GAMES (ATHLETE CAN REF W/ADULT)
  • KEEP SCORE
  • 1st 3 QUARTERS ONCE A TEAM GAINS A CLEAR POSSESSION OF THE BALL DEFENSE MUST FALL BACK
  • FULL COURT PRESS 4TH QTR UNLESS UP BY 15 POINTS
  • FOUL SHOTS TAKEN – CAN’T GO OVER THE FOUL LINE WHEN SHOOTING
  • PLAYERS MUST CHECK IN AT SCORER’S TABLE
  • 4 (7 MINUTE) QUARTERS

  • WHEN IN BONUS ( 7 FOULS) THE TEAM WILL NOW SHOOT TWO FOUL SHOTS
  • ONY ONE COACH STANDING AT A TIME
  • TAUNTING OF ANY KIND TO ANOTHER PLAYER, COACH, OR OFFICAL WILL RESULT IN A TECHNICAL FOUL AFTER A PLAYER RECEIVES TWO TECHINCAL FOULS THEY WILL BE SAT FOR THE REST OF THE GAME
